The Judaic Spiritual Elites and Sects around 30 AD

Often Bible believers proudly keep the great works of pagan antiquity off their reading list and thinking. What if the Apostle Paul (the Apostle to the Gentiles) relied on his Gentile listeners being informed by those Greco-Roman great works of literature? What if the great works of the Greeks and Romans represented the spiritual realm of powerful entities in a reasonably accurate fashion, only lacking a metaview of the God of Israel and Jesus the Messiah? This entry maps out how the literate person of the Roman Empire would think of the heirarchy in heaven, and with this sense of the quarreling gods was prepared to hear the Gospel.

Chaos vs. Cultivation
The Christian and Judaic moral stance should be that human impact is an extension of the Divine directive for mankind to "be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it" (Genesis 1:28, ESV). In Judaic moral universe, raw nature and the sea often represented chaos or the domain of evil spirits. The Garden of Eden was not raw nature; it was a managed, cultivated, and unnatural space.
Therefore, political and social rhetoric that paints human-serving industry and infrastructure as ugly or undesirable is more than contrived — it is a philosophical and aesthetic stance that runs counter to the spiritual directive to cultivate and manage the world for human flourishing. The global trade network is the cultivation of the sea -making a controlled environment out of a chaos environment. Global trade is also the communication channels in which the spread of God's message flows. Less movement, less mobility, less trade routes means God's Word is trapped locally. That is not how God works.
With this moral backstory in mind I present a specific case and application in the UN Net-Zero agenda for marine cargo trade.
