Oculus 22 Technical FAQ & Protocol
Cleaning IntervalEvery 500 Rounds

Disassembly: Use the provided tool to remove the end cap and push out the internal baffle stack.

Modular Design: Track the order of the baffles during module swap due to the "ADAPT" design.

Baffle Cleaning (Ultrasonic): Since the baffles are 17-4 stainless steel, you can safely use an ultrasonic cleaner with a 50/50 mix of Purple Power and water for about 30–60 minutes.

Manual Scrubbing: Use a brass wire brush, nylon brush, or a brass pick to remove stubborn carbon.

Tube Cleaning: Use a nylon brush and standard gun solvent (like CLP) to wipe down the interior.

Lubrication: Before reassembly, apply a light coating of white lithium grease or gun oil to the threads and the locking collar to prevent them from seizing.

WARNING: Do NOT put the outer tube in an ultrasonic cleaner if it has a Cerakote finish.
